Upon arrival in Chengdu, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal guide at the airport or railway station and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy some time to rest and recover from your journey.

Chengdu serves as the gateway to Tibet and the starting point of your unforgettable adventure to the “Roof of the World.” The remainder of the day is free at leisure for personal activities or optional exploration of the city.

Today, enjoy a full day of window sightseeing along the legendary Qinghai–Tibet Railway. As the train approaches Tibet, breathtaking scenery unfolds outside your window, including snow-covered landscapes, vast deserts, endless grasslands, majestic snow-capped mountains, and sparkling high-altitude lakes.

Arrival in Lhasa is scheduled for approximately 16:50 in the afternoon. Upon arrival, your local Tibetan guide will be waiting at the railway station and will escort you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax, explore the nearby area gently, and begin acclimatizing to Lhasa’s high altitude and unique climate.

Tips for Today:

  1. Take light walks to help with acclimatization, but avoid any strenuous activity.

  2. It is recommended not to take a bath or shower on the first day at high altitude.

During the summer months (May to August), the landscape comes alive with lush green grasslands, herds of yaks and sheep, and traditional nomadic tents set up by local herders who move seasonally with their families. This drive offers a wonderful glimpse into authentic Tibetan pastoral life.

Upon arrival, explore Namtso Lake, revered as the “Heavenly Lake” and one of the three holy lakes of Tibet. Later, begin the long but scenic drive toward Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. Trip Booking

A contract is formed when you receive a written confirmation after paying the deposit. Check your booking details carefully and notify us of any errors. The name on your booking must match your passport exactly.

Deposit Requirements

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayNow.

Cancellation Policy

Over 180 days before departure: No charge

180-90 days: 10% charge

90-30 days: 30% charge

30-15 days: 50% charge

15-7 days: 80% charge

Less than 7 days: No refund

No refunds for unused services or voluntary trip cancellations. We recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance.
