Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m) | Dinner

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour leader and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After some time to rest and refresh, we begin our exploration of Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Our first stop is Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic royal palace complex, where you can admire a wealth of temples built in exquisite traditional architecture and, if lucky, catch a glimpse of the living goddess, Kumari.

Next, we visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. This 2,500-year-old stupa is perched atop a hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Kathmandu city, and is an ideal spot to witness a stunning sunset over the valley.

After the sightseeing, return to your hotel for overnight stay and dinner in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we begin our journey to Pokhara, a scenic drive along Nepal’s interesting highways that wind through charming farm villages, bustling towns, and rivers, offering glimpses of the surrounding Himalayan foothills.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel located near the picturesque Phewa Lake, the heart of the city and home to most of Pokhara’s best hotels. Enjoy some leisure time to relax and soak in the serene lake views before dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, we take a short 40-minute drive to Phedi, the starting point of our trek. From here, we follow the trail through terraced fields and small forests, ascending gradually for approximately 1½ hours to reach Dhampus Village, a charming Gurung settlement. Enjoy lunch in Dhampus, soaking in the views of surrounding hills and distant peaks.

After lunch, continue the trek with a steady ascent of about 2 hours to Pothana, where we rest for the night. Overnight stay is in a local teahouse, offering a cozy and authentic trekking experience amidst the serene mountain scenery.

After breakfast at the teahouse, we begin our trek along quiet forest trails, with gentle ascents and descents over the next 3 hours. Along the way, small teahouses offer opportunities to rest and enjoy tea or cold drinks while supporting local businesses.

We reach Landruk, a picturesque village nestled among terraced fields, where we stop for lunch and take in the serene rural landscapes. Continuing the trek, the trail descends for about 40 minutes to the Modi River, where we cross a bridge and can spot bee hives clinging to the cliffs, a fascinating glimpse of local life and nature.

The trek then ascends gently toward Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village, where we will stay overnight in a comfortable teahouse, enjoying the scenic views and local hospitality.

After breakfast, we begin our uphill trek to Tadapani, a journey of approximately 3–4 hours. Though relatively short, the trail is rewarding, offering stunning views of terraced fields, forests, and the surrounding mountains along the way.

Upon arrival in Tadapani, enjoy lunch with a backdrop of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Mountain. Spend the afternoon relaxing and soaking in the serene mountain atmosphere, a perfect moment to unwind after the morning trek.

After a few hours of trekking with short breaks to enjoy the surroundings, we reach Ghorepani, a picturesque village perched on the hilltop. From here, marvel at fantastic panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan ranges, a sight that makes the trek truly unforgettable.
