Pokhara Valley Rim Trek is a short and easy trekking route designed to showcase the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes around Pokhara. Starting from Pokhara, the gateway to Nepal’s renowned Annapurna trekking region, this trek is suitable for all travelers, including families with young children and elderly participants.

The trek is easy to moderate in difficulty and combines short hikes, day excursions, sightseeing, and soft adventure activities. It offers a perfect balance of leisure and gentle adventure, allowing trekkers to enjoy the natural beauty, local culture, and panoramic mountain views without strenuous effort.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (Welcome Dinner)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Time permitting, enjoy a short sightseeing tour of Kathmandu to get a first glimpse of the city’s vibrant culture and heritage.

In the evening, savor a traditional Nepali welcome dinner, offering a taste of local flavors and cuisine.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 6-hour drive to Pokhara, passing through picturesque mountain roads, quaint villages, valleys, and rivers. Enjoy lunch en route at a local restaurant.

Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city, is renowned for its serene lakes and panoramic Himalayan views. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and take a short rest.

Later, enjoy a 1-hour boating excursion on Fewa Lake, located within walking distance from your hotel. From the lake, admire the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Mountain.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Pokhara.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a 30-minute drive to Phedi, the starting point of the trek. From here, begin your trek to Dhampush village, located on a scenic hilltop at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level.

The trail passes through lush forests, terraced farmland, and traditional villages, offering a gentle introduction to trekking in the Annapurna region. Upon reaching Dhampush, be rewarded with magnificent views of the Annapurna range, including Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

In the afternoon, explore the local village, culture, and lifestyle of the Gurung and Brahmin communities.

After breakfast at the teahouse, begin your trek towards Sarangkot, passing through the charming village of Naudanda. The trail offers scenic views of terraced fields, forests, and rural settlements, providing an authentic glimpse into local village life.

Lunch will be served en route. After lunch, continue the trek to Sarangkot, one of the most renowned mountain viewpoints in Nepal, situated at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters above sea level.

From this hilltop, enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan ranges to the north, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), along with breathtaking views of Pokhara city and Phewa Lake below.

Wake up early in the morning to witness a spectacular sunrise over the snow-capped Himalayan ranges from Sarangkot. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) glowing in the morning light.

After the sunrise experience, return to the guesthouse for breakfast. Later, enjoy a short downhill walk (approximately 30 minutes) to reach the road, where you will board a vehicle for the drive back to Pokhara.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at the hotel and proceed to Lakeside for lunch. The afternoon is free at leisure—relax at the hotel, stroll along Phewa Lake, or enjoy optional side excursions and café hopping around the lakeside area.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Kathmandu (approximately 6 hours) via the scenic highway. Alternatively, you may take a short domestic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (optional, approx. US$120 per person).

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, continue on a one-hour drive to Nagarkot, a beautiful hill station situated at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level. Nagarkot is renowned for its panoramic Himalayan views, stunning sunsets, and peaceful mountain atmosphere. On clear days, Mount Everest can also be seen from this viewpoint.

In the evening, enjoy a spectacular Himalayan sunset, followed by dinner at the hotel. Relax and unwind in the serene surroundings.

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking Himalayan sunrise. The cold morning air is rewarded as the first rays of the sun gradually illuminate the snow-capped peaks, turning them shades of glowing red and gold. On clear days, the panoramic view stretches from Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest in the far east to the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in the west—a truly unforgettable spectacle.

After enjoying the sunrise, return to the hotel for breakfast. Later in the morning, drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in.

The remainder of the day is free at leisure for final shopping, exploring local markets, or relaxing before your departure.

Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled departure to board your onward flight.

Trekking and adventure tours in the Himalayan regions carry inherent risks, including severe weather, injury, or even death. While we take every precaution, accidents may still happen. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks. Please read the following conditions carefully:

The Contract

By booking with Brothers International Tours & Trading Pte Ltd (the Company), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement governs your relationship with us and covers liability limitations and cancellation policies.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and ensure that your personal data is kept confidential and used only for booking purposes. We will not disclose or sell your information to third parties.

Trip Booking

A contract is formed when you receive a written confirmation after paying the deposit. Check your booking details carefully and notify us of any errors. The name on your booking must match your passport exactly.

Deposit Requirements

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayNow.

Cancellation Policy

Over 180 days before departure: No charge

180-90 days: 10% charge

90-30 days: 30% charge

30-15 days: 50% charge

15-7 days: 80% charge

Less than 7 days: No refund

No refunds for unused services or voluntary trip cancellations. We recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

Health and Fitness

You must assess your health and fitness before booking. Inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions. We are not responsible for any issues arising from medical conditions or inability to complete the trip.

Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance covering accidents, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation is mandatory. We recommend comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the trip.

Itinerary Changes

The itinerary may change due to unforeseen factors such as weather, medical issues, or flight delays. Brothers Team reserves the right to modify the schedule.

Visa and Passport

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. It’s your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas. Brothers Team is not responsible for visa issues.

Injuries and Evacuation

We are not liable for injuries or health conditions during the trip. We strongly recommend purchasing insurance that includes medical and evacuation coverage.

Unused Services

No refunds or discounts for missed services, including illness, injury, or early departure.

Responsible Tourism

We promote responsible tourism and expect travelers to respect local communities and the environment.
