Day 01: Singapore – Delhi – Srinagar

Take an early morning flight from Singapore to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi Airport, transfer to your hotel for breakfast and a short rest.

After freshening up, board a domestic flight from Delhi to Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir, nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas. Srinagar is famous for its houseboats anchored on Dal Lake, offering a unique and serene experience.

After lunch, enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Dal Lake, taking in the stunning surroundings of the city and the Himalayas.

Return to your houseboat or hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Dal Lake, marking the start of your Great Lakes Kashmir Trek adventure.

After breakfast, drive to Sonamarg (literally “Gold Path”) with a packed lunch for the journey. The scenic drive of approximately 86 km follows the Sindh River, offering stunning mountain vistas. En route, stop at Kangan town to observe the local mountain communities engaged in their daily activities.

On arrival at Sonamarg, check in at your camp near Shitkari Bridge. Later, enjoy a short and easy trek to Thajiwas Glacier, witnessing its majestic ice formations and surrounding alpine scenery.

Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay, soaking in the tranquil beauty of Sonamarg.

After breakfast, begin your trek from Shitkari to Nichnai Base Camp, your destination for the night. The well-defined trail passes through Gujar settlements, offering insight into the lives of the local mountain communities.

As you reach Shokhdari Meadow, experience the true delights of trekking, with panoramic views of the mountains behind Thajiwas Glacier, the main Himalayan range, and distant peaks stretching east beyond Zojila Pass.

Set up camp at Nichnai for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the serene alpine landscapes.

Start your day early in the morning with the trek toward Nichnai Pass, located just above 4,000 meters. The ascent to the pass takes approximately 2 hours and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The pass is typically snow-covered until early July, adding to the alpine charm of the trek.

After crossing the pass, begin a steep descent, followed by a traverse across grassy plateaus, winding down along the right-hand side of the valley. From here, follow the shepherds’ trails leading to Vishansar Lake, a serene alpine lake at 3,850 meters, surrounded by rugged peaks.

Set up camp near Vishansar Lake for dinner and overnight stay, enjoying the tranquil alpine environment.

After breakfast, begin your trek along the lakeside of Vishansar, making your way to Krishansar Peak, which rises approximately 500 feet above the campsite. From here, continue ascending to the far side of the water reservoir, enjoying spectacular alpine views and serene lake scenery along the way.

The trail today offers a mix of easy and moderately challenging terrain, providing a satisfying trekking experience as you navigate grassy meadows, rocky paths, and alpine landscapes.

Camp near Gadsar Lake for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquil high-altitude beauty of the region.

After breakfast, begin your trek from the army camp toward the nearby stream, immersing yourself in the pristine alpine surroundings. Today’s trail features varied terrain, including steep ascents, flat stretches, and gently undulating paths, keeping the trek both challenging and rewarding.

Pause for a short break at Maengandob, a scenic spot fringed by towering mountains, offering a perfect vantage point to appreciate the surrounding landscapes.

Continue trekking to the Satsar Lakes, a cluster of serene alpine lakes nestled amid lush meadows, and set up camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, begin the trek with a gentle descent for about half an hour before starting the ascent toward Zajibal Pass at 4,180 meters.

From the top of the pass, be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mount Harmukh, standing majestically before you. At its base lie the twin alpine lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol, shimmering amid the rugged Himalayan terrain.

Descend gradually along the scenic trail to reach Gangabal Lake, where you will set up camp for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the alpine surroundings.

After breakfast, leave Gangabal Lake and trek through the lush meadows of Bodpathri and Trunkol, gradually descending through a pine forest to reach Naranag, a quaint village nestled in the Kashmir Valley.

At Naranag, visit the Vishnu Temple, a revered site believed to have been constructed by Emperor Lalitaditya, showcasing intricate stone architecture and spiritual significance.

After sightseeing, drive approximately 1.5 hours back to Srinagar and check in to your houseboat on Dal Lake. In the afternoon, enjoy the serene surroundings of Dal Lake, perhaps take a sunset shikara cruise, or explore local handicrafts, including papier-mâché souvenirs and walnut woodwork.

Return to the houseboat for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on the beauty of the Kashmir Himalayas.

Start your day with an early morning visit to Srinagar’s famous Floating Market, experiencing the unique charm of vendors selling their wares on Dal Lake. Return to your houseboat for breakfast, and spend some time relaxing on the front porch, soaking in the tranquil surroundings as life on the lake unfolds before you.

Later, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, enjoy some leisure time for shopping at local markets, exploring the vibrant bazaars for souvenirs and handicrafts.

In the evening, transfer to the international airport for your onward flight to Singapore, marking the conclusion of your memorable Great Lakes Kashmir Trek.

By booking with Brothers International Tours & Trading Pte Ltd (the Company), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement governs your relationship with us and covers liability limitations and cancellation policies.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and ensure that your personal data is kept confidential and used only for booking purposes. We will not disclose or sell your information to third parties.

Trip Booking

A contract is formed when you receive a written confirmation after paying the deposit. Check your booking details carefully and notify us of any errors. The name on your booking must match your passport exactly.

Deposit Requirements

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayNow.

Cancellation Policy

Over 180 days before departure: No charge

180-90 days: 10% charge

90-30 days: 30% charge

30-15 days: 50% charge

15-7 days: 80% charge

Less than 7 days: No refund

No refunds for unused services or voluntary trip cancellations. We recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

Health and Fitness

You must assess your health and fitness before booking. Inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions. We are not responsible for any issues arising from medical conditions or inability to complete the trip.

Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance covering accidents, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation is mandatory. We recommend comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the trip.

Itinerary Changes

The itinerary may change due to unforeseen factors such as weather, medical issues, or flight delays. Brothers Team reserves the right to modify the schedule.

Visa and Passport

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. It’s your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas. Brothers Team is not responsible for visa issues.

We are not liable for injuries or health conditions during the trip. We strongly recommend purchasing insurance that includes medical and evacuation coverage.

No refunds or discounts for missed services, including illness, injury, or early departure.
