Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu | Meals: Dinner
  • Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest, begin your Nepal adventure with a visit to the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple).

    This 2,500-year-old stupa, perched atop a hillock, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Kathmandu City and a stunning sunset over the valley. As the oldest stupa of its kind in Nepal, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized in 1979 for its cultural, historical, and architectural significance.

  • After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, approximately 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu, taking 5–6 hours through picturesque valleys, rivers, and rural landscapes. Lunch will be served en route to allow you to relax and enjoy the journey.

    Pokhara, the second-largest city in Nepal, is renowned for its stunning Himalayan panoramas and serene lakes. From here, marvel at the Annapurna mountain range and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Peak, rising dramatically above the tropical setting of the Pokhara Valley.

    Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take a short rest before enjoying the tranquil ambiance of this beautiful lakeside city.

  • After an early breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Pokhara airport for a morning scenic flight to Jomsom. The flight, approximately 20 minutes, offers breathtaking aerial views of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri.

    Upon arrival in Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang, you will find a small yet culturally rich town, historically significant as part of the ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade route to Tibet. From here, begin your trek of 3–4 hours to Kagbeni, a picturesque village at the gateway to Upper Mustang. Trekking passes through arid landscapes, quaint villages, and the stunning Kali Gandaki Valley, giving a first glimpse of Mustang’s unique desert-like high-altitude terrain.

  • Today, the trek begins along the riverbank of the Kali Gandaki, heading upstream through sandy, wind-swept trails. The route offers picturesque landscapes and scenic spots perfect for short breaks and photography.

    The trail follows a gently undulating path, with both ascents and descents, leading to Tangbe Village, a charming settlement with narrow alleys between whitewashed houses, surrounded by fields of buckwheat, barley, wheat, and apple orchards.

    Continue trekking through the dramatic landscapes of Mustang, eventually reaching Chele, perched at 3,050 meters. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding arid mountains and experience the tranquility of this remote high-altitude village.

  • Today’s trek takes you through stunning high-altitude landscapes, beginning with the ascent to Taklam La Pass (3,624 m / 11,923 ft). The trail passes through plateaus and narrow stretches, offering spectacular views of Tilicho Peak, Yakawa Kang, and Damodar Danda.

    After the pass, descend slightly to reach Samar Village, then follow the trail above the village to the ridge, before making a steep descent to a stream. The journey continues with another 3 hours of trekking through similar terrain, eventually arriving at Syanbochen, a serene highland settlement.

    Overnight stay in Syanbochen, where you can soak in the dramatic Mustang landscapes and the unique atmosphere of this remote region.

  • After breakfast, begin the trek uphill to Yamda La (3,850 m / 12,667 ft), passing charming teahouses, chortens, and Tibetan-style villages with open verandas. Along the way, traverse mountain passes, avenues of poplar trees, and fields of barley, immersing yourself in the unique Mustang landscape and culture.

    The trek continues with a climb to Nyi Pass (4,010 m / 13,193 ft), which is slightly longer but offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After descending from the pass, arrive at Ghaymi, your overnight stop, where you can rest and enjoy the serene atmosphere of this remote village.

  • After breakfast, enjoy a pleasant morning walk from Ghaymi. Cross the Ghaymi Khola and ascend to a high plateau, passing alongside a long Mani Wall, a sacred stone wall crafted by Buddhist followers as an expression of faith and devotion.

    From the end of the wall, the trail continues eastward to the village of Charang, a charming settlement perched at the top of the Tsarang Chu canyon. The village features a maze of cultivated fields, willow trees, and traditional stone-walled houses, offering a glimpse into the timeless culture and lifestyle of Upper Mustang.

  • Today, the trek culminates with the arrival at the walled city of Lo Manthang, offering spectacular panoramic views of Nilgiri, Tilicho, Annapurna I, and Bhrikuti Peak.

    The trail begins with a descent into Charang Chu Canyon, followed by a steep climb across the river. Afterward, the path ascends gently to the windy Lo Pass at 3,850 m, from where the Lo Manthang Valley unfolds in all its grandeur, showcasing the unique arid landscapes, ancient villages, and Tibetan-influenced architecture of the Forbidden Kingdom.

    Arrive in Lo Manthang and check into your guesthouse. Spend the evening exploring the walled city, its monasteries, and narrow streets, soaking in the rich culture and history of Mustang.

  • Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural and historical treasures of Lo Manthang. Begin with a visit to Namgyal Gompa, perched on a hilltop, which serves as both an important monastery for the local community and the traditional local court.

    Continue to Tingkhar, the last main village to the northwest of Lo Manthang, where you can stroll through ancient streets and terraced fields, observing the timeless lifestyle of the Mustang people.

    Alternatively, you may choose to visit the Tall Champa Lakhang (“God House”), the red Thugchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa, and the Entrance Hall, which are among the most iconic religious and architectural attractions of Lo Manthang.

  • Today, we begin the return journey from Lo Manthang, taking a different route via Gyakar to experience new landscapes and villages. Along the way, visit the ancient Ghar Gompa, over 1,200 years old, dedicated to Guru Rinpoche and renowned for its intricate rock paintings. According to local legend, a wish made at Ghar Gompa is believed to be fulfilled, adding a spiritual element to your trek.

    The trail passes through stunning highland terrain, offering glimpses of traditional Mustang villages and dramatic cliffs. Due to the likelihood of dusty winds in the afternoon, it is recommended to trek during the morning hours for a more comfortable journey.

    Arrive at Drakmar and explore the local area before settling in for the night.

  • After breakfast, continue the trek toward Ghiling, enjoying the stunning landscapes and remote villages of Upper Mustang along the way. Today’s journey takes approximately 5–6 hours, with opportunities to observe traditional Mustang culture, terraced fields, and high-altitude scenery.

    Upon arrival in Ghiling, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding area, soaking in the serene atmosphere of this remote mountain village.

    Take in the scenic vistas and the unique arid beauty of the region along the way, making the journey as rewarding as the destination.

    Arrive in Chhuksang and check into a teahouse for overnight stay, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and authentic Mustang hospitality.

  • Today marks the final day of the Upper Mustang trek. After an early breakfast, begin the trek toward Kagbeni, retracing parts of the trail while taking in the stunning landscapes and unique cultural villages.

    At Kagbeni, enjoy lunch before continuing to Jomsom, where the Upper Mustang trek joins the traditional Annapurna Circuit route. This final stretch offers beautiful views of the Kali Gandaki Valley and surrounding peaks.

    Arrive in Jomsom in the afternoon and check into your guesthouse or hotel for overnight stay, reflecting on the remarkable journey through the Forbidden Kingdom of Mustang.

  • After breakfast, transfer to Jomsom Airport for your morning flight back to Pokhara. Enjoy the spectacular aerial views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges during the short flight.

    Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is free at leisure to relax, stroll along Phewa Lake, or explore the city at your own pace.

    Arrive in Kathmandu in the afternoon or evening and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure to relax or explore the city at your own pace.

By booking with Brothers International Tours & Trading Pte Ltd (the Company), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement governs your relationship with us and covers liability limitations and cancellation policies.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and ensure that your personal data is kept confidential and used only for booking purposes. We will not disclose or sell your information to third parties.

Trip Booking

A contract is formed when you receive a written confirmation after paying the deposit. Check your booking details carefully and notify us of any errors. The name on your booking must match your passport exactly.

Deposit Requirements

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayNow.

Cancellation Policy

Over 180 days before departure: No charge

180-90 days: 10% charge

90-30 days: 30% charge

30-15 days: 50% charge

15-7 days: 80% charge

Less than 7 days: No refund

No refunds for unused services or voluntary trip cancellations. We recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

Health and Fitness

You must assess your health and fitness before booking. Inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions. We are not responsible for any issues arising from medical conditions or inability to complete the trip.

Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance covering accidents, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation is mandatory. We recommend comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the trip.

Itinerary Changes

The itinerary may change due to unforeseen factors such as weather, medical issues, or flight delays. Brothers Team reserves the right to modify the schedule.

Visa and Passport

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. It’s your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas. Brothers Team is not responsible for visa issues.

Injuries and Evacuation

We are not liable for injuries or health conditions during the trip. We strongly recommend purchasing insurance that includes medical and evacuation coverage.

No refunds or discounts for missed services, including illness, injury, or early departure.
