A tour of Sri Lanka immerses you in the island’s rich history and culture, including the iconic Sigiriya Citadel, a 5th-century fortress featuring a royal palace and intricate frescoes. Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Transfer to Negombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your beachside hotel in Negombo (approximately 30 minutes’ drive).

Relax and unwind after your journey, and enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in Negombo, preparing for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, depart Negombo and drive to the Cultural Triangle in central northern Sri Lanka. Check in at your hotel and relax before the afternoon excursion.

Visit the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climb several flights of stairs to reach the summit, where panoramic views of the sunken gardens and surrounding countryside await. Admire the famous “Sigiriya Frescoes”, or “Demoiselles,” painted on the rock walls, whose beauty and mystery continue to captivate visitors to this day.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, making a stop at the Habarana Tank, a 12th-century reservoir surrounded by forest, historically built to irrigate the surrounding lands. Explore Polonnaruwa either on foot along the shaded wooded paths or by bicycle, discovering the well-preserved ruins of this former royal capital, including ancient temples, palaces, and statues.

In the afternoon, enjoy a safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its large elephant gatherings during August and September. Witness herds of elephants congregating around the lake, alongside other wildlife in this scenic natural reserve.

Return to Sigiriya for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Anuradhapura, the northernmost point of the Cultural Triangle and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore this ancient capital either on foot or by bicycle, discovering the impressive ruins that bear witness to centuries of history, including ancient temples, monasteries, and royal structures.

Visit the Sri Maha Bodhi, a sacred fig tree grown from the original Bodhi tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment over 2,500 years ago.

Continue to Mihintale, the sacred hill considered the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Climb the thousand steps to the summit and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. During the month of Poson (June), Buddhists from across the island make pilgrimages here during the full moon.

Return to Sigiriya for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart Sigiriya and journey toward the heart of the island. Begin with a visit to the Dambulla Rock Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable complex of five caves houses an impressive collection of Buddha statues and vibrant orange-colored frescoes depicting key stages of the Buddha’s life. Watch for playful monkeys along the way, adding charm to your visit.

Continue to Matale, the center of Sri Lanka’s spice culture. Explore a local spice and herb garden, learning about the secrets and uses of cinnamon, vanilla, aloe vera, and other aromatic treasures.

In the afternoon, arrive in Kandy, the island’s cultural capital. Check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, transfer to Peradeniya Railway Station and enjoy a scenic train journey to Rambukkana (subject to availability), followed by a short drive to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to rescued and nurtured elephants. Observe these gentle giants up close as they are fed and bathe in the river.

In the afternoon, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, renowned for its extensive collection of tropical plants, orchids, and towering palms.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Kandy at your own pace, perhaps strolling around Kandy Lake or shopping for local handicrafts. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, explore Kandy, the last capital of the Sinhalese kingdom. Stroll through the bustling city market and soak in the vibrant local atmosphere. Visit the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa), located by the scenic Kandy Lake, which houses the country’s most sacred Buddhist relic—a tooth of Lord Buddha.

In the late afternoon, depart Kandy and travel south to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s highest town, renowned for its cool climate, lush tea plantations, and colonial charm.

Check in at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Nuwara Eliya and drive to Colombo, the vibrant capital city of Sri Lanka.

In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Colombo, including the historic 100-year-old Clock Tower, several British-era colonial buildings, and the bustling Pettah Bazaar, ideal for shopping and experiencing local life. Visit a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, explore residential areas with stately homes of the affluent, and see the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

The evening is at leisure to relax or explore the city on your own. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Colombo.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel. Later, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight home, concluding your memorable journey through the cultural and natural wonders of Sri Lanka.

The Contract

By booking with Brothers International Tours & Trading Pte Ltd (the Company), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement governs your relationship with us and covers liability limitations and cancellation policies.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and ensure that your personal data is kept confidential and used only for booking purposes. We will not disclose or sell your information to third parties.

Trip Booking

A contract is formed when you receive a written confirmation after paying the deposit. Check your booking details carefully and notify us of any errors. The name on your booking must match your passport exactly.

Deposit Requirements

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayNow.

Cancellation Policy

Over 180 days before departure: No charge

180-90 days: 10% charge

90-30 days: 30% charge

30-15 days: 50% charge

15-7 days: 80% charge

Less than 7 days: No refund

No refunds for unused services or voluntary trip cancellations. We recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

Health and Fitness

You must assess your health and fitness before booking. Inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions. We are not responsible for any issues arising from medical conditions or inability to complete the trip.

Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance covering accidents, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation is mandatory. We recommend comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the trip.

Itinerary Changes

The itinerary may change due to unforeseen factors such as weather, medical issues, or flight delays. Brothers Team reserves the right to modify the schedule.

Visa and Passport

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. It’s your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas. Brothers Team is not responsible for visa issues.

Injuries and Evacuation

We are not liable for injuries or health conditions during the trip. We strongly recommend purchasing insurance that includes medical and evacuation coverage.

Unused Services

No refunds or discounts for missed services, including illness, injury, or early departure.
