Subject: Heartfelt Thanks for an Unforgettable Trekking Experience
Dear Ganga,
I have just returned home to Singapore after an amazing trekking holiday in Nepal, and I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks and admiration for the exceptional experience.
My sincerest gratitude goes to Miru and Shyam, our guide and porter extraordinaire during the 6-day trek to Poon Hill in January 2007. They ensured that the trek was not only enriching but also thoroughly enjoyable.
I would also like to thank you for providing in-depth pre-trek guidance, and for planning and coordinating the trip so meticulously. The trek unfolded exactly as described, leaving us well-prepared both mentally and physically.
From Landruk, Tadapani, Ghorepani, Ghandruk, to Hile, the panoramic views of the Annapurna Mountain Range were truly breathtaking. Whether watching the sunrise over the peaks or admiring the golden sunset, every moment was unforgettable.
Miru was a fabulous guide, sharing extensive knowledge about the mountains and Nepal while patiently answering our endless questions. His proficiency in Mandarin is remarkable and will certainly appeal to travelers from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Shyam was incredibly fit, soft-spoken, courteous, and ever-helpful, carrying over 35kg of our personal belongings. His culinary skills were exceptional, serving diverse and delicious meals—from Nepali pizza to rosti, spring rolls, and fried macaroni. I truly savored every bite!
I captured over 1,000 photographs documenting the trek—not only the mountains but also the people, villages, animals, and culture. I am honored to share some of these images with you for your presentation to future trekkers, hoping they inspire others to undertake this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
During the trip, I was inspired by encounters with remarkable individuals, including teachers from Belgium and the Netherlands, dedicated to improving education in Nepal. Their commitment added depth and meaning to my journey.
Once a Nepal, always a Nepal. I am proud that you, Ganga, have chosen to stay in Singapore to manage a travel agency and inspire many to discover Nepal, the world’s premier trekking destination. Your passion, expertise, and extensive network in Nepal truly made this trek seamless and memorable.
I am eagerly looking forward to my next trek with your company this year, fulfilling my childhood dream to trek to Everest Base Camp, confident it will be another unforgettable experience.
