Dear Ganga,
We have all made it home safely. The trek was excellent! Jhak truly did a fantastic job taking care of everyone. He has extensive knowledge about the area and communicates very well with the group. His English is excellent, as is yours. Jhak, Man, and Chij were all wonderful—we were very fortunate to have such a great crew.
Everyone reached ABC, though Andrea experienced a headache, and Maila helped carry her down beyond MBC. Andrea was able to walk into Derauli afterward and was fine. We were lucky to have a perfectly clear, sunny day reaching ABC, and a very clear morning for sunrise there. I’ve attached a couple of pictures for you.
Yes, Jhak gave me the gift for my wife. She was very pleased and asked me to thank you very much. I am also sorry that you could not be in Kathmandu upon our return—it would have been even nicer to have you on the trek. Hopefully, someday we will trek together.
Mike and Eberhard are already planning their next trip, which will cover the northern part of the Annapurna Circuit with a side trip up a remote valley and over two passes. They have discussed this with Jhak.
I will follow up with Steve in the next couple of days to see if we can encourage the shipping company to process the refund owed to you.
